Bye-and-bye, taking in the sunshine on the banks of the River Tyne, he sat down to enjoy his Greggs sausage roll, canapes and prosecco, when he exclaimed “Why on earth would one not teach the youngsters about the real world of work? It is not good for one to leave school without a modicum of nous and experience. Perchance, could a passionate, esteemed and experienced gentleman help out these youngsters?”
Spendid! What a spiffing idea. He alighted into his shared-ride electric limousine excitedly heading home, and after dinner and petits-fors, retired to the boudoir to plan it all out.
Our Story
Once upon a time, long ago, Martin Hedley was born of a Geordie father, considerably out of place, very far south of The river. Not until the mid 1970’s did he make his way in a splendid coach pulled by 3,300 horses, leaving London in a cloud of light blue smoke, to Newcastle to read for his bachelors at the University. He spent many days while at University hiking along the beautiful North Sea beaches, traversing muddy trails, crossing the river on all the bridges and walking around down town. Upon graduating, Martin left for the New World, remaining in the United States for 37 years, living and working in many states. He returned to Newcastle in 2018 (one can checkout, but one can never leave).
